Viking has opened registration in New Zealand for its popular information sessions commencing on Wednesday, 28 Februay 2024, in Warkworth.

The sessions are scheduled to be hosted in 31 locations across both the north and south islands between February and July 2024, from Keri Keri to Invercargill, concluding in Timaru on Thursday, 4 July 2024.

Building on the success of the 2023 season, Steve Parker, Viking Commercial Manager New Zealand, aims to expand access to the information sessions by supporting smaller communities that receive fewer visits.

Viking’s complementary Explorer Sessions provide the perfect opportunity for agents and their clients to learn about travelling with Viking, find inspiration for their next voyage and discover Viking’s award-winning river, ocean, and expedition journeys across seven continents.

Viking Managing Director ANZ, Michelle Black said, “Based on feedback from guests and agents, we have added new regional venues to the 2024 agenda in New Zealand.  Our Explorer Sessions are for guests and agents who are both new to Viking, and returning guests who have explored extensively with us, and are looking for something new or different.”

The 75-minute sessions cover a range of travel topics and include complimentary morning tea or drinks and canapés, providing an opportunity for networking amongst new and previous guests and agents.

“Steve presented an excellent overview of Viking at the Nelson information session. He advocated for travel agent consultation and gave attendees compelling reasons by way of added benefits and customer service. It is well worth your time,” said Jason Kroupa, Kroupa & Bourke House of Travel, Motueka.

Attendees will not only leave the session informed and inspired to book but will also receive an exclusive offer, encouraging them to secure their preferred dates and itinerary with their agent.

“I had a great response from my clients who enjoyed the sessions. I was delighted to have first-time cruisers make a booking after the session,” said Kim Mildon, Travel Managers, Broker.

Black added that this is an excellent opportunity for agents to leverage Viking’s information sessions to educate clients, convert new bookings and earn extra commission.
