The OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group global showcase event has concluded after a week-long-itinerary of events and appointments in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Spanning from 19 – 21 March, this three-city tour featured executives from OUTRIGGER’s corporate office alongside hotel representatives from Hawaii, Fiji, Thailand, Mauritius and the Maldives. Together, they presented the company’s latest developments and shared its forthcoming phase of growth.

Jeff shared key updates on OUTRIGGER’s expansion and future endeavours, including the recent acquisitions of OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort on Maui, and OUTRIGGER Kaua’i Beach Resort and Spa on Kaua’i. This now completes their goal of having an OUTRIGGER property of scale on all major Hawaiian Islands.

Additionally, he highlighted the collaboration between OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel and Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group to introduce a unique, multi-year resident show tailored for Honolulu residents and visitors, marking an exclusive offering for Hawaii. The anticipated Grand Opening is scheduled for mid-December 2024. Furthermore, Jeff stressed OUTRIGGER’s active pursuit to re-establish a presence in Australia with a beach resort.

Attendees comprised of key wholesalers, product managers, specialist travel agents, tourism industry associates, airlines, and travel and lifestyle media. Each evening, fortunate winners were awarded door prizes, which included return flights and accommodations to OUTRIGGER’s resort destinations.

The event launched in Brisbane at Black Bird Function Facility, followed by River’s Edge, World Trade Centre in Melbourne, and finished at L’Aqua Darling Harbour in Sydney.

In development news, OUTRIGGER has made significant investments in revitalising its properties through refurbishments. OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort completed its US$85 million refurbishment, enhancing rooms, poolside areas, and most recently the introduction of their signature restaurant, Monkeypod Kitchen by Peter Merriman.
